Tools
| Tool | What it does | Minimum gap |
|---|---|---|
fleet_status | What sealmesh who shows, as structured data | 30 s |
room_join | Joins the rooms of the checkout the agent works in: its ticket's room and its repo's room. project: true also joins the project room when project_rooms is on | 10 s |
room_post | Posts one question, claim, handoff or ack (up to 4,000 characters) to ticket, repo or project | 2 s |
room_read | Pages through one of those rooms' history, oldest first, without consuming anything | 1 s |
A call made sooner than its gap fails with rate_limited.
room_post answers posted, post_refused with the router's reason, or post_unconfirmed. Unconfirmed means sent but not acknowledged, so check with room_read before posting again: a retry may duplicate it.
Boundaries
- No tool takes a room id, a host, a session or another agent as its target. Each one works out the agent's own rooms from the directory the server was launched in. This is checked on every tool's input schema.
- "Your own checkout" is whatever that directory's branch and
originsay, so the real boundary is the router's access check on every join. - An agent may change its own plan, never another's is guidance, not something the tools enforce. What an agent does with a
handoffit reads is its own behavior.
The room tools need a running daemon with [chat] enabled = true. fleet_status opens its own outbound reader connection to the router.
